Grow Your Business with SEO that REALLY Works

Here at Red Apple Virtual Assistant Services, we were pretty pleased to hear from a client last week, who told us both their LinkedIn and business webpage were ranking incredibly high on Google search engines. It’s great when we hear news like that come in from happy clients, but at the same time, it’s not a surprise, because we get it when it comes to creating content that’s going to get your business or organization noticed in a big way.

There are so many people and companies offering SEO services, and they claim to know how to get you the results you’re after, but they fall short. It’s not an impossible goal to rank in the top positions for key phrases that are relevant to your work, but you have to work with an SEO professional that has a real understanding of how to accomplish your search engine goals. Our client, Erin, who was reporting great results because of our work, informed us that their pages were holding 5 of the top 7 positions for one keyword phrase alone.

We were also lucky enough to come across a recent blog post from the “Copy Detective” herself, Belinda Weaverfrom Melbourne based copywriting company Copywrite Matters. Belinda recently found herself enjoying the number two spot in Google’s search for the term “copywriter”.  According to Belinda, there was no magic formula—she just utilised some hard work and creative tactics, including the creation of regular, relevant content, guest blogging, commenting on blogs, and making herself known in the world of social media.

You may be sitting there and thinking that’s impossible. Maybe you’ve tried on your own, and when you became frustrated with the lack of results, turned to a copywriting or SEO company to get the results you were after, only the feel the same frustration.

That’s probably because you’re working with people who just don’t get it. High search engine rankings are driven by a number of factors, but perhaps the most important is the development of an online content-based marketing strategy.

Businesses are often stuck in the archaic world in which search engine rankings are based on simply repeating keywords, arbitrarily, and as many times as possible, in hopes that they’ll show up when someone searches for any number of keywords being chased at random.

This isn’t the world of SEO anymore—it’s all about quality. It’s about providing the internet with quality-driven content, which is informative, unique and relevant. In addition to quality, content needs to be produced on a regular basis. Even if someone produces quality content, if there are giant lapses of time in which nothing is produced, it’s not going to fare well for SEO goals.

With quality and quantity being so important to the world of SEO, it becomes more vital than ever for businesses to develop strong, concise marketing plans, rather than just haphazardly throwing content out into the world and hoping it gets positive results. Develop strategies with your SEO and content marketing, with measurable goals and results.

Tying content into your social media posts is also a great way to attract attention and drive traffic to your sites. In a nutshell, in today’s world, SEO is all about building online relationships, through a variety of channels. It’s not enough to flood a page with keyword after keyword, or one link after another, in the belief that the next day you’ll show up as number one in a Google search.

Making it all work can often come down to have a virtual assistant or online marketing content manager that really just gets it. Copywriting isn’t just about throwing words into the world and hoping to draw attention to your business, and this is something a valuable virtual assistant should understand. Just as with the more traditional world of in-person business, the world of internet marketing has become about keeping yourself fresh, relevant and engaged.

Make sure you are working with a company that understands that you’re all about quality, and making it work to create a cohesive message. It’s not about hoping for the best—it’s about making the best happen, and growing your online presence organically.  And kicking-ass.
